Introducing Adam Couldwell...

Adam Couldwell and Reba McEntire

To those people who believe that the British Country music scene has nothing original to offer, 18 year old singer/songwriter Adam Couldwell proves them wrong.

Adam was introduced to Country music through the records of his grandfather and first started playing guitar at the tender age of 7. He has been writing his own material and performing ever since.

His natural ability to captivate an audience, through his original and expressive songs, makes it easy to see how this talented young man from North Yorkshire has already managed to appear alongside some of Country’s biggest stars.

His first major appearance happened in 1997 where he was asked to open for Brady Seals. He then went on to support Crystal Gayle for her British tour in 1998 and has just recently had the privilege of supporting Reba McEntire on her European tour, which was a huge success. Such a success that Reba personally invited Adam to appear with her again when she performed a one-off show at the Royal Albert Hall in June 1999.

Since signing to Focus, Adam has appeared in the national press giving numerous interviews for (local and national) radio and TV, including an appearance on GMTV, where he was given the opportunity to perform one of his own songs live. He also appeared in a documentary called ‘Britain’s Richest Kids’ televised on April 30th 1999 on ITV.

Earlier this summer, Adam especially recorded a version of "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" for inclusion on the Universal TV album "Country" (cat no: 564 482-2), which is now certified ‘Gold’.

Adam Couldwell is signed to a worldwide publishing deal with Acuff-Rose Music. He is managed by AB Management, with Tony Byworth and Dawn Argyle respectively handling both business and personal aspects of his career.

Adam is currently working on a single (to be released early on in the New Year) and an album. This will give Adam a chance to catapult beyond the genre marketplace into the mainstream music spotlight and become the household name he deserves to be.
